#303: Russia’s Rise, the Ayatollah’s Big Victory and China’s First Military Outpost
After Sept. 11, 2001, Western leaders told people to go about their daily lives or else “the terrorists would win.” Fifteen years later, the advice is that we must now learn to live with terrorism. Nations like France and Germany are responding to the threat of potentially large attacks by canceling large events and encouraging citizens to stockpile food. George Friedman recently wrote, “[T]he whole point of terrorism is to take the population to the point where fear is the only rational response.” The terrorists have continued to push, and now they are clearly winning. Listen to Stephen Flurry discuss more on this topic on today’s show.
#302: More Administration Lies Exposed About the Iran Hostage Crisis; Plus, How to Become More Cultured
Since the beginning of this year, the Obama administration has said that the transfer of $400 million to Iran and the return of United States prisoners in Iran on the same day were unrelated issues. President Barack Obama and his staff stressed that the U.S. does not pay ransom. He even said the idea that it was a ransom was “the manufacturing of outrage” by those opposed to the administration. This week, however, the U.S. State Department admitted the two actions were related and that it was—though still refusing to call it as such—a ransom. On today’s show, Stephen Flurry digs into the latest on this event and also continues the discussion from the previous show on how to develop as a cultured individual.

#300: Floods, Fires and the Beginning of Sorrows
Massive forest fires are devastating areas of the United States, while other areas are experiencing record flooding. What is the cause of this disastrous weather? Some blame it on weather patterns, others on climate change. But the Bible forecast thousands of years in advance that nations would experience natural disasters as a result of another, more important factor. “[A]nd I caused it to rain upon one city, and caused it not to rain upon another city: one piece was rained upon, and the piece whereupon it rained not withered,” the Prophet Amos wrote (Amos 4:7). On today’s program, Stephen Flurry explains why these destructive natural disasters are occurring with more frequency.

The shooting of an armed black man by a black police office in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, over the weekend sparked violent protests across the city. Many attacks were aimed directly at white people even though the shooting couldn’t possibly have had a racist motive. The protests show the growing racial divide in the United States. On today’s show, Stephen Flurry talks about the latest incident in Milwaukee and how President Barack Obama’s policies are helping fuel these problems.
