Show Notes

  • On today’s show, we talk about the value of perspective. A man in a German concentration camp was able to survive by imagining his sufferings as if viewing them in the past. Many saints of God have transcended their trials by recognizing the spiritual purpose they serve.
  • Physical elevation enables you to see a wider view. Astronauts who are able to view the entire Earth from space say it is a transformative experience that utterly changes their perspective on life.
  • We talk about how we can gain that “overview effect” by seeking God’s perspective, gaining perspective on the brevity and fragility of life, setting our affection on things above, and recognizing where we fit in the grand plan.
  • Ultimately, we need to see God’s purpose for creating us and His ambitions for using us to colonize other places in the universe!
