French news outlet Les Echos ran a headline yesterday that suggested the U.S. won’t be fighting on Europe’s behalf ever again. America’s retreat from world dominance has many Europeans preparing to go it alone—apart from an American-led NATO alliance. As a retired French Army general wrote in Les Echos, “In this existential crisis, the greatest since World War II, Europe is alone and will remain so even if the Russian troops do not stop at the NATO border.” A European army is now just over the horizon.

Last week, the New York Times “authenticated” the Hunter Biden laptop scandal. After 17 months of lying and deceit, the Times finally reported the truth. Author Peter Schweizer told Fox News, “I think this New York Times piece, the fact that they got cooperation from team Biden and probably from the Hunter Biden legal team, is an indication to me that they are extremely concerned that he’s going to be indicted.”
