Yesterday, a Floridian sheriff, Bob Johnson, admonished citizens to shoot burglars who invade their homes. He’s already receiving backlash from defense attorneys, including the president of the Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, who said that Johnson “just turned Santa Rosa into the Wild West.” In fact, it’s the lawless big cities of America that have turned into the “Wild West.”
