There are many storylines from the recent United Nations Security Council resolution against Israel. However, the one least discussed and yet most important relates to the future unity of Jerusalem. On today's program Brent Nagtegaal looks at the resolution in regards to the immediate future of Jerusalem as the united capital of Israel.

JERUSALEM - On Friday, President Obama allowed an anti-Israel UN Security Council resolution to pass, breaking from decades-old precedent set by previous American administrations. On today's show Host Brent Nagtegaal looks at some of the possible outcomes of the vote, as well the darker motivations behind President Obama’s actions.

Earlier this year a palatial building dating to the era of King Solomon 3000 years ago was discovered in the royal city of Gezer. On the second half of today’s show host Brent Nagtegaal talks to part-time Jerusalem archaeologist Christopher Eames about his recent visit to Gezer as well as an article detailing its Biblical history.

However, there is also substantial cast of Israeli archaeologists who are unimpressed with the Bible as a historically accurate document.

On the same day UNESCO resolved to ignore Jewish history on the Temple Mount, the Israeli Antiquities Authority announced the discovery of a 2700 year old document found along the Dead Sea that mentions Jerusalem in ancient Hebrew script. Now, the Israeli government has announced an expedition to recover more of these documents along the Dead Sea.
