On the heels of the death of Qassem Suleimani, the United States is still pulling out of the Middle East. Seeing the vacuum, Russia is showcasing its military might in the region, especially in Syria. While collaborating with Iran to achieve its military ambitions in the Middle East, Russia’s presence is a stark reminder of what happens when the U.S. abdicates the region.
