Show Notes

[00:30] A Spending Disgrace (19 minutes)President Donald Trump appears ready to veto the disgraceful spending bill that passed Congress yesterday. The bill, sold to the public as an emergency relief package for struggling Americans, provides more U.S. taxpayer money for foreign nations than it does for Americans.
[19:00] Modern Slavery (12 minutes)A recent BBC investigation uncovered that many of China’s cotton fields, which provide one fifth of the world’s cotton, are actually worked by slaves from labor camps. Despite the West routinely taking the moral high ground against slavery, most people seem to have no problem buying clothes from slaves in other nations.
[31:30] Britain Under Siege (24 minutes)Boris Johnson’s government made an impulsive decision to lockdown the southeast of England due to a new variant of COVID-19. Now France has closed its border with the UK, and imports and exports are piling up. We’re getting just a taste of what a full siege would look like.
