#160: Best Way to Fight Terrorists? Don’t Call Them Muslims
U.S. President Obama spoke at a U.S. mosque yesterday for the first time during his presidency. The president addressed the real threat posed by terrorists, but again refused to admit there was any relationship between terror and Islam. “So the best way for us to fight terrorism is to deny these organizations legitimacy …” he said. The motives of terror organizations like the Islamic State and Al Qaeda are given legitimacy—so Mr. Obama believes—when the religion of Islam is associated with their actions. And so America’s war against the nameless organizations spreading terror around the world continues.
