In a report from its Federal Statistical Office, Germany saw its first trade deficit in May of nearly $1 billion since 1991. To lessen pollution from nitrogen emissions, the Dutch government intends to shut down nearly one third of its farms. The farmers began a massive protest in response, but the police are now responding with live rounds of ammunition.
