Early Friday morning in Nara, Japan, former prime minister Shinzo Abe was assassinated by a 41-year-old man with a homemade shotgun. Five hours after the shooting, Abe was pronounced dead at a nearby hospital. World leaders are shocked and devastated to see the first assassination in Japan in nearly a century, and many are uncertain about its ramifications. But what does the Bible say about the future of Japan and the “perilous times” we are now living in?
[17:25] Boris Johnson Steps Down (18 minutes)
Yesterday, Boris Johnson announced his resignation after three years in office. Many in Britain have expressed strong disapproval of his handling of the country. Former UK Ambassador to the U.S. Peter Westmacott told CNN that Johnson’s main achievements are finalizing the Brexit deal and becoming prime minister. But beyond these achievements, Westmacott admits there weren’t many other achievements. No commentators, however, realize the prophetic significance of Britain leaving the European Union, and while Mr. Johnson had his faults, he did oversee one of the most historic events in Britain’s history.

In a press conference yesterday, White House Press Secretary Karrine Jean-Pierre claimed that “we are stronger economically than we have been in history.” The reality is that America’s economy is crumbling and Americans are gravely concerned.
