Violence in Jerusalem

Overnight, Israel’s capital saw its worst violence in over a year as Palestinians in East Jerusalem riot. The uptick in violence comes just before Israel’s November 1 election. The violence and other recent decisions by caretaker Prime Minister Yair Lapid have a return to power for Benjamin Netanyahu looking more likely.
