[00:30] Kevin McCarthy Is 0-13 (29 minutes)

Kevin McCarthy lost the vote to be speaker of the House for the 12th and 13th times today, despite gaining several Republican holdout votes. The Republicans voting against McCarthy hope that if they can’t prevent him from getting in, they can at least use the vote stalemate to cut deals that will enact change in the House, including a vote on legislator term limits. The debate over who should be the next speaker of the House is exposing a lot of the sickness in Washington—and also showing Americans what democracy looks like.

[29:00] How the FBI Hacked Twitter (10 minutes)

Lee Smith wrote an excellent article for Tablet explaining the significance of the FBI’s corrupt ties to Twitter. As Smith pointed out, Elon Musk has revealed more through the “Twitter Files” about the FBI’s election interference through social media than John Durham’s entire three-year Russiagate investigation.

[39:00] Be Led by the Spirit (10 minutes)

Romans 8:14 makes it clear that to be God’s sons, we must be led by the Holy Spirit. Submission to the Spirit produces the fruits of the Spirit in our daily lives (Galatians 5:22-23). We must be renewed by the Holy Spirit every day and allow it to lead us in the direction of godliness.

[49:15] E-mail Feedback (6 minutes)
