#199: Obama Assails News Media for Shallow Reporting and Canada Seeks to Reward Laziness
In his speech at the Toner Prize Ceremony this week, United States President Barack Obama said the media was failing to dig deep into the stories during this presidential campaign season. He said that during his campaign back in 2008, the media asked “tough questions” to see if his actions would match his words. Looking back at President Obama’s comments in 2008, it’s clear he didn’t follow through on his promises, and most of all, the media had a big part to play in propping him up.
