But the Trump defense team learned after the trial’s conclusion that Federal Judge Lewis Kaplan should have recused himself from the case because he once mentored Carroll’s main lawyer. This clear conflict of interest completely discredits the judge’s ruling against Trump. The president’s enemies have fallen into another trap of their own making.
