President Donald Trump is taking the Chinese dragon head on, something no recent U.S. leader has been willing to do. Past presidential administrations have built a U.S. economy completely dependent on foreign goods and supply chains. Now China is cutting off shipments of critical rare earth minerals used in U.S. defense manufacturing and other crucial industries, proving Trump’s point that the U.S. is far too reliant on China.
