The papal conclave to select the next pope will begin on May 7. Catholics hope that the new pope will unite the divided Catholic Church and bring more transparency to the deeply corrupt institution. Meanwhile, President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy held an impromptu meeting at the “iconic” Vatican. President Trump hopes to broker a peace deal to end the Ukraine war, but his solutions won’t solve the underlying problems that started the war in the first place. Mankind has a lot of faith in human institutions and diplomacy but no faith in God.
