Turkey is using German-made tanks in its offensive against the Kurds in northern Syria. In past years, German arms sent to Turkey were limited to use in NATO operations only. Now Turkey is using German-made equipment to initiate its own offensives—and Germany appears willing to continue supplying it with weapons.
