Show Notes

  • As Black Lives Matter protests continue, the push to defund the police is gaining momentum. What does this mean, and what would the consequences be?
  • On June 28, Armstrong Auditorium will be hosting the world premiere of Celtic Throne: The Royal Journey of Irish Dance. This is a full-length multimedia production with a dance troupe of over 30 dancers to original music by Grammy-nominated composer Brian Byrne. We talk to some of the main people behind the production—the directors and two of the choreographers—to learn what the show is about, how it came together, how they overcame challenges, got the very best out of a such a young group of dancers, and what they are most excited about in the show.
  • I conclude by talking about keeping your chin up in the face of all the bad news, and maintaining a living hope.
