- While an outpouring of mourning over and appreciation for Queen Elizabeth II pours in from around the world after her death last week, a few people are using the event to dredge up criticisms of Britain’s history. We talk about how Britain was actually singularly responsible for ending the practice of slavery in many parts of the world.
- We also discuss the important but unseen reason the American press in particular has been so quick to fixate on these negative associations with the royal family.
- We get a personal account from a man who grew up in a British Commonwealth nation and was proud to be a subject of Queen Elizabeth II.
- And we conclude with a story of a man who tried to save Britain—by translating the world’s most important book!
