#199: Obama Assails News Media for Shallow Reporting and Canada Seeks to Reward Laziness
In his speech at the Toner Prize Ceremony this week, United States President Barack Obama said the media was failing to dig deep into the stories during this presidential campaign season. He said that during his campaign back in 2008, the media asked “tough questions” to see if his actions would match his words. Looking back at President Obama’s comments in 2008, it’s clear he didn’t follow through on his promises, and most of all, the media had a big part to play in propping him up. On today’s program, Stephen Flurry explains how the biased media is affecting the U.S. and how it helped President Obama get into office.
Also on this show, Canada experiments with a new program that will guarantee people a minimum income even if they’re not working. What does the Bible have to say about hard work and earning an income?
#198: A Week’s Worth of Unspeakable Acts of Radical Islamic Terrorism
The attacks in Brussels and Lahore this past week grabbed most of the world’s attention, but a few less covered acts of terrorism took place around the globe showing that terror is becoming the new norm. In Glasgow, a Muslim man who wished Christians a “Happy Easter” was killed by another Muslim. In Iraq, a bomb blast killed 41 during a soccer match. Three explosions in Yemen left 25 dead, while the Islamic State crucified an Indian Catholic priest the same day. These acts of terror are only increasing around the globe, and the United States has been virtually silent about it. On today’s show, Stephen Flurry explains how the rest of the world will respond to these events while America disappears from the scene.
#197: Where Donald Trump Agrees With Barack Obama

This flaw was on full display as presidential candidate Trump unveiled his foreign policy in a series of interviews over the weekend. On today’s show, listen to Trumpet writer Richard Palmer discuss this flaw, as well the Islamic State’s secret plan to start terror cells in Europe.
#196: History Returns in Europe and God’s Standard of Balance
When the European Union was created, the Continent thought it had escaped its long history of war and division. But, as the Observer noted this week after the Brussels bombings, “history has returned.” Violent attacks in Europe are becoming the new norm as terrorists begin to expose many of Europe’s integration shortcomings. What happens when the battle begins to heat up even more? On today’s show, listen to Stephen Flurry explain what Bible prophecy says about how Europe will respond to radical Islam.

#195: Lay Siege to Your One Big Problem
In Hebrews 12, sin is compared to being a weight that drags against spiritual growth. What is the big weight holding you back? It will not be easy, but God encourages us in this process and gives us the power to overcome and grow. In this show, Stephen Flurry provides you with practical steps that will help you conquer that one bad habit.
#194: Brussels Attacks: The New Normal
Europe has been rocked by yet another major terrorist attack just four months after the Paris bombings. Unless Europe makes radical changes, these bombings are here to stay. Europeans are waking up to the danger, and soon the Continent will be forced to make drastic changes. On today’s program, Richard Palmer talks about where this is leading, and shows how a new project underway in Germany and the Netherlands could be the future for all of Europe.
#193: The Historical Antiochus Epiphanes
The 11th chapter of Daniel contains one of the most dramatic and specific prophecies in the entire Bible. The prophecy is mainly concerned with two great powers—the king of the south and the king of the north in the original fulfillments and their latter-day types. In today’s program, Herbert W. Armstrong College history instructor Brent Nagtegaal discusses the life, character and personality of one of those historic kings—Antiochus Epiphanies.
#192: The Sin of Escapism
If ever there was a time for people to begin waking up to the world’s problems, it would be now. And yet more and more people just slumber on, choosing to ignore reality. Trying to escape those troubles actually makes them worse. Today, people in droves are turning to various distractions and addictions to avoid facing reality. This trend was prophesied in the Bible to occur in the last days. In 2 Timothy 3, it says people will be “lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God.” How can we avoid falling into this trap? On today’s program, Stephen Flurry explains how to combat the sin of escapism.
#191: Point of No Return and America’s Story—the Final Chapter
After nearly two terms under the Obama administration, America has been radically transformed—and not for the better. Under President Barack Obama, the United States has suffered a long string of foreign policy failures. At home, America has descended into a lawless state and is more divided than ever. Many view the upcoming U.S. presidential election as the last chance to save America. But can a new president from either side of the isle save America at this point? Former President Ronald Reagan said, “America is great because America is good, and if America ever ceases to be good, she will cease to be great.” Can one leader change America’s course? On today’s show, Stephen Flurry explains why America became a great nation and where its current downward plunge is heading.

However, most of the world is distracted and consumed by entertainment or vain pursuits. These urgent times call for us to be more responsible with how we manage our time. On today’s program, Stephen Flurry gives practical advice on how to manage your time in this fast-paced age.
